Mr. Roberts seems to have a habit or maybe a creative lack when it comes to an ending of his books. His sex scenes are very good but his story formulation is lacking. Often he jumps to another point in the story timeline without ant transition to tell the reader how he got there. Each transaction is just another excuse for a sex scene. If you want a book with a beginning middle and end this is not for you. 2 out of 5 (Stark47 )

Well written, surprise ending.  Author really knows how to raise the
tension of a husband allowing his wife some freedom, yet terrified

Excellent story very well done.  It kept me engrossed from start to
finish. One thing I especially liked was that for the first third of
the book no mention of Lawrence being black was made.  Which was very
refreshing. By the nature of the authors stories it was evident that
he would eventually be so identified.  I  am a reader that gets so
tired of repetition or stating the obvious over and over that it
drives me to distraction. Any author constantly writing Black Cock
when that is a main element of the story really bothers me.  Another
author I try to read is in love with the word LIKE that I sometime
skip whole paragraphs just to avoid it.  I know I am just being petty
but there is just too much use of the words Black Cock in many of the
interracial stories I like to read and it adds nothing to the story.  
Anyway I highly recommend this story.  5 out of 5  (Stark47)

The interracial humiliation is multiplied by been done by much younger "master" and simple natives. Very exciting story as expected by this author. But I don’t like happy ending even if it's not a completely happy ending. That's why only 4/5. Ruthy 4 out of 5 (Ruthy)
