Chapter 1

'Ah, what do we have here? A young stowaway is it?' I heard a loud deep, gruff voice as I felt myself lifted on top of a broad, strong shoulder.

'Let me down, let me down at once!' I cried out in panic.

'I will let you down only if you promise to stop your screaming and whining, do you mean to deafen me?! And take my word for it you do not want to wake up a boat filled with tired sailors who would not take kindly to an intruder!'

'If you could please put me down, I promise to stop screaming.' I spoke more civilly.

I found myself immediately becoming calm as he responded to my request and I found myself standing on my own two feet once again.

'You're a... a woman!' He spoke with surprise.

Oh hell, I look down to see the cap I had once been wearing lying down on the floor beside me, leaving my disguise ruined as my thick, wavy dark blonde hair hung below my shoulders.

'Well that certainly makes things more complicated,' he trialled his gaze down the full length of my body as he spoke. I was covered up by a simple shirt and trousers to hide my female identity, I was glad that I had thought to strap down my usually full and rounded breasts as I saw him move his focus back up to my face where he lingered his view upon my trembling lips, before settling to look into my green eyes with an expression on his face that I took to be of admiration and something far more intense, I could not help but get all hot and flustered under his watchful eyes!

My unnerved state did not get any calmer as I took in the mystery man's own appearance. He was a giant of a man with his towing height and strong set chest and shoulders that I had already had the fortune to inspect up close. But it was his striking blue eyes contrasted with his dark, chiselled features that included a hard square shaped jaw and proud roman nose that really impressed me. I found myself becoming all shy and confused all of a sudden, not knowing how it could be that I found myself alone in the lair of one of the most handsome men I had ever laid my eyes upon.

'Come on woman, are you not going to tell me who you are and why you are in my cabin?'

'Oh I am dreadfully sorry sir....my name is Christina...and I did not intend to intrude on you...that is I did not mean to be here with you in your cabin, I have made an awful mistake.' I found myself tongue-tied, having difficulty stringing my words together as he continued to look at me questioningly.

'I have gathered as much Christina, that you are not meant to be here, but my question then is how you came to make such an error, to find yourself travelling on a boat full of sailors, off on a mission to the Caribbean?'

'Oh dear, I must get off this boat at once, I have no intention of going all the way to the Caribbean, I am on the wrong boat, I cannot believe I was foolish enough to board the wrong ship...I should be with Roger right now and well on my way to American as our end destination, how could I get it so wrong!,' I felt completely frustrated not knowing how to salvage the situation I now found myself in.
