Professor Franco looked flabbergasted. "Did I hear you right, young man? You've just asked me if it's true that virgins can't get pregnant the first time they engage in sexual intercourse?"

"That's what I've always heard," the poor guy said. "Just wondering is all."

Shaking his head, Professor Franco replied, "Such is the state of sexual education in our schools! You come to college knowing nothing. Nothing! You begin your sexual lives thinking your bodies are invincible, impregnable. Well, I can prove you wrong with one simple experiment."

The boy in blue looked around the lecture hall. "An experiment or a sex-periment?"

He laughed, but... he was the only one laughing. Everybody else looked around at each other, wondering what the professor might do to make his case.

"God forfend that I should come up wanting, but I shall pose the question anyway." Clearing his throat, Professor Franco asked, "Do we have any virgins in the audience?"

Valerie sat on her hands while a few reluctant young men raised theirs.

"Any female virgins," the professor clarified, shaking his head.

When Valerie let her guard down, her friend grabbed her hand and stuck it in the air. "Right here, Professor Franco! My friend Valerie is a virgin!"
