Excerpt:
She
enjoyed the chaos bad boys brought with them. She liked the rush. She loved the
chase.
And
Morgan was the baddest of all her bad boys.
The
man was dangerous. One minute she was petting a kitten and the next she was
looking into the eyes of a tiger.
Being
in the room with him was like being in a room full of snakes. Some of them were
venomous, some of them weren't; either way she was going to be bitten. There
were far worse things to be bitten by and there was nothing like snuggling with
a cobra to keep one's mind from obsessing about the end of the world.
She
had cleaned most of the blood from his chest and back when she had first
cleaned and sewed up the wound. Thankfully it had not been too deep; whoever
had stabbed him had not aimed well at all. When she had first found him she had
thought the wound was much larger and nastier than it turned out to be. It was
going to hurt him like hell until it healed up completely and it for sure was
going to scar but that wasn't so bad. He was able to pull off a sexy scar.
She
wiped the last of the blood from his broad torso and let her gaze linger on his
bare chest. She wasn't shy about looking and it would not have bothered her if
he knew she was checking him out. She openly admired his body all the time. It
was hard not to. The man was toned. She could tell he had kept himself in shape
before the zombies had went from fiction to fact; they never talked about their
old lives but she could tell he had not been a slouch.
He
was tall; that was another thing Maura liked. Tall and strong. Masculine.
Sleek.
She
bit on her lower lip as her eyes trailed over him. Darkness had crept into the
room, barely held back by the flickering candles. The faint glow highlighted
all that was right with his tall frame.
She
had to touch him.
Her
eyes slowly moved back up over his body to his chin. He had such pouty,
kissable lips.
It
would be a shame to not give them the attention they deserved.
She
glanced up to see his dark eyes locked onto her. The shadows shifted over his
face as his lips curled in the faintest of smiles.
"You
have the most kissable lips, darling." She whispered as she caressed his cheek.
"Oh,
do I?"
"Mmmm."
"Show
me."
"My
pleasure."
She
leaned in to press her lips into his as her hand caressed down his cheek,
trailing down his stubbled throat.
She
coaxed his lips open as her hand moved slowly down his muscled chest, her nails
gently grazing him as she headed lower and lower.
The
kiss deepened as her hand smoothed over his flat abdomen. She was rewarded with
a hitch of his breath as her fingers slid under his jeans.
"I
cannot get enough of you, darling one of mine..." She broke the kiss to stare
into his dark gaze, both of them breathing heavier than before. Maura moved so
that she was between his long legs, nudging them apart with hers before
settling over him with a predatory smile.
"You're
mine, Morgan."
He
grinned at her, his gaze shadowed.
She
leaned down for another kiss. This one was demanding, forceful. She nibbled on
his lower lip before kissing down to his chin. Her lips trailed down his neck
as she slid her body just a little lower, an inch at a time. She let her kisses
follow her hand from before, looking up at him as she kissed and licked down
his body.
"Allow
me to show you just how much I cannot get enough of you..."
