She bounced downstairs and placed the piece of paper on the fridge door. She sighed and wrote 'Working out - Love Julie' on the piece of paper and placed a magnet on top. Julie grabbed a protein shake and walked out at a brisk pace, she had a good hour or two to learn some new yoga moves. Sure hope Cristina knows what she's talking about, she thought as she made her way to the new black neighbor's house, who was a couple of houses away.
As Julie approached the black neighbor's house, she could hear shouting from across the street. Cristina lived across the street and she could see Jon laughing it up with Sean. The two seemed to be watching a football game from a couple weeks prior. She thought about visiting but decided against it and walked to the door step of Tyrone. She rang the doorbell and felt fear settling a bit in her stomach.
The door flung open and before Julie stood a giant black man, with huge broad shoulders, a tree trunk of a neck and biceps at least three times the size of her husband's. He was wearing a white wifebeater and some jogging pants. He looked down at her with a smile and stuck out his hand.
"Julie Kim?" He asked.
Julie nodded, her gut was now wrenching, afraid of the big black beast that stood before her. She raised her tiny hand and shook the black hand that enveloped her.
"Well come on in! I'm Tyrone." He continued, his smile never leaving his face. He turned and walked inside and Julie followed, closing the door behind her.
"You want anything to drink?" Tyrone asked as he made his way to the kitchen.
"No, I have a protein shake." Julie responded, raising her drink.
Tyrone shook his head as he walked out of the kitchen. "You need to watch out for those. An all-natural protein drink is much better than that corporate shit."
Julie raised an eyebrow, "All-natural? Like Greek yogurt?"
"Nah, I'll try to get you some later, after our yoga session today." He grinned.
Julie shrugged and followed Tyrone to the living room. The room was fairly barren, most likely from just moving in. He had a mat on the ground and a large sofa nearby. He had moved his coffee table to the side. Tyrone was already stretching his legs and she thought she saw him looking her up and down.
