Chapter 1
Victoria sighed as she
walked out of the grocery store at which she worked as a cashier. She had just
finished a tedious ten hour shift, her fifth and final for that week. Her feet
were sore and the never-ending parade of rude and ignorant customers that had
come through her line-up tonight had put her into a foul mood. It was a typical
night at work.
At the age of twenty-two,
her life couldn't be more mundane or depressing. She was alone and admittedly
lonely. Her parents had both died in a car crash several years ago and she had
no close relatives. As a result of her parents' death and their lack of life insurance,
but abundance of debts, she'd been forced to quit college due to lack of funds.
Her friends seemed to come and go, getting married, going away to college,
moving for work...
However, for Victoria, life
seemed to stand still. Even relationships with men seemed like a rarity nowadays.
She'd read in a book - Dr. Phil perhaps, she couldn't quite remember - that you
attracted positive people when you radiated positivity. For Victoria,
positivity wasn't a strong suit, not after all of the sorrow she'd had to
endure in recent years.
Her apartment was within
walking distance, just a couple of blocks from the grocery store. Despite the
time of day and the fact she lived in a not so desirable part of Jersey City,
NJ, she still walked home each night. She told people she liked to walk for the
exercise, and that was part of the reason she kept in such good shape. If the
truth be known, it had more to do with the fact that she just couldn't afford a
car right now. There seemed to be too many bills and not enough money to pay
them.
There was a sudden loud,
sharp bang off in the distance. A gunshot? It wouldn't
be the first nor the last time she'd heard one go off
in her neighbourhood. She jumped quickly looking back over her shoulder in the
direction of the noise, her eyes scanning the darkness behind her but she saw
nothing out of the ordinary.
That was when she felt the
impact!
She walked straight into
what felt like a brick wall. She yelped as she was knocked off her feet and
onto the pavement. "What the hell?" she muttered under her breath, as her rump
hit the cement, sending a shot of pain through her backside.
Looking up she saw the
reason for her tumble. He stood at close to 6'2, nearly a foot taller than her,
with a powerful build. His dark hair fell to shoulder length and he had the
most alluring blue eyes... She'd never seen anything quite like them before -
mesmerizing. She was certain she could easily sit there basking in the power of
his presence while staring deep into those eyes the entire night if she let
herself. It took all her strength not to stare. However, it was close to a
minute before she was able to prise her eyes from him and avert her gaze.
He was beautiful. She'd
never before considered the word beautiful would suit a man, but it did for
him.
Giving her a soft smile, he
extended his hand to her, "I apologize, let me help you."
She took his hand, which
was soft, yet cold to the touch and he effortlessly pulled her to her feet. She
allowed herself to fall against him and was greeted by the most erotic scent
she'd ever smelled. He smelled sweet yet musky, it was intoxicating. Leaning in
even closer to him, her mouth grazing the base of his neck she closed her eyes
and took a deep breath in.
Mmmm, Oh God! I want this man!
A soft, nearly inaudible
sigh escaped her lips and Victoria felt the juncture between her legs growing wet.
What was it about this stranger? She wasn't certain if it was seconds, minutes
or hours that passed before she finally noticed she was standing in the middle
of the sidewalk caressing him. Her palms were flattened against his chest,
tracing the rigid lines of muscle beneath the tight black t-shirt he wore.
She came to her senses, froze
and quickly stepped back, averting her gaze once more, looking anywhere but into
those piercing blue eyes. She could feel her face redden from embarrassment. When
she finally worked up the nerve to look up at him, she could see the amusement
in his gaze as he regarded her inquisitively.
"No worries,
Miss," he simply stated as if knowing what she was feeling and why. She found
herself caught up in his gaze again. It was as if he could see into her; into her heart, her soul,
stirring up her desires. She found herself yearning to step forward again into
his arms once more. Her body wanted him, demanded
him. She was alarmed to realize that if he were to advance on her, she would
gladly give herself to him. Then and there, for the world to
see.
What's wrong with me?
A tiny voice in the back of
her mind screamed its warning. Run! Now!
The voice was right. Victoria knew she needed to get away from him and whatever
influence he had over her. Immediately, before it was too late.
She listened to that voice.
"I'm sorry, I have to
go," she muttered. While she still had the strength she quickly apologized,
and brushed past him, taking care not to look back up into those hypnotic blue
eyes. Making haste she scurried off down the sidewalk attempting to put as much
distance between her and the stranger as possible. The stranger nodded, a
slight smile still lingered on his face as he watched her rush off, the warm
wind whipping her long blonde curls around her head as she went.
Victoria could feel his
eyes on her as she walked, and it sent a rush of anticipation through her. She
wanted him. Wanted him so badly her stomach was in knots and it scared her
immensely. Before turning the corner onto her block she dared to look back, but
the street behind her was empty. She didn't take the time to ponder it, but
picked up her pace, nearly breaking into a run in an attempt to make it to the
safety of her apartment as quickly as possible.

In her apartment several
hours later, Victoria found her mind continuing to wander back to her encounter
with the stranger. Each time she thought of him she could feel her heart begin
to race and small tremors of pleasure would flow down her spine, leaving her
trembling, breathless and so close to an orgasm that it shocked her. As she
daydreamed she could almost feel his
body against hers; his cool, soft hands exploring every inch of her flesh. She
could almost feel his long, elegant, cool fingers, exploring her most sacred of
areas.
Before going to bed she
made her way to the balcony connected to her bedroom. She was on the fourth
floor, high enough up that on smouldering hot nights like tonight she could
leave the balcony door open to allow in the refreshing night air. Looking up
into the night sky she found it clear, the stars twinkling brightly and the
moon full. For the first time that day - hell, for the first time that week -
she found herself relaxing.
As she turned back into the
bedroom she thought she caught a glimpse of the dark stranger across the street,
from the corner of her eye. She whipped back around, her golden curls flying
out around her head as she turned to get a better look, but then he was gone,
if he'd even been there to begin with.
Chuckling at herself,
Victoria gave her head a slight shake. "You're losing your mind Vic. Truly
losing it."
With the heat of the night
being too much for even the skimpiest of clothing she slipped off her camisole and
boxers and slid her naked body gracefully under the thin sheet. But she still
had a problem, and that being the ache between her legs that was still present.
It had calmed to a dull throbbing, but considering she hadn't had sex for over
four months now, she knew there'd be no way she could get a decent night's
sleep until she took care of the burning ache the stranger had ignited within
her.
Slowly she slipped her hand
down her soft, ivory skin to her smooth shaven pussy. She cupped her mound in
her palm, and then slipped a finger between her soft wet folds. Oh God, she moaned softly as she closed
her sapphire blue eyes and conjured the stranger to her mind.
The image was as vivid as
if he were right there lying beside her. She imagined that it was his cool
fingers that stroked the length of her slit so expertly. With her free hand she
palmed her breast and pinched the nipple hard. She moaned louder. It was his
hand that was caressing her breast, turning the nipple into a tight, hard nub.
She began to rock her hips
against her hand as she parted the lips of her pussy and stroked her swollen,
needy clit. Again, she moaned as the fires within her flared higher.
Who was that man? Who was
the man with the piercing blue eyes, the one she wanted to fuck her so badly
she'd been in agony all evening with the thought of it? She stroked her clit
harder, bucking against her hand with more force.
