(Darren G. Burton)

Before calling a taxi he checked his social media and his emails. Facebook and Twitter had nothing exciting going on, and when he checked his emails he saw that most of it was junk. One message caught his attention, though. It was from a sender he didn't recognize and the subject line simply said: Hi Sexy!
Curious and expecting it to be more junk - like asking him to check out some bullshit website where he was guaranteed to get laid tonight - Greg clicked on the email and it opened up.
There wasn't much to it. Again the Hi Sexy was repeated, followed by one brief question: Did you like the rose?
"Who is this person?" Greg said with a frown.
It was sent from a Gmail account and the sender's signature was just a random jumble of letters and numbers. No name of any kind, not even a fake one.
He wondered then if he had some sort of a stalker. He wasn't sure how to feel about that. Should he be worried, or excited?
Greg shrugged, pickled up his mobile phone and called a cab. He left the house then and went outside to await its arrival.
Twenty minutes later and he was being dropped off in the center of the city, where he discovered the place alive and teeming with revellers celebrating the end of the working week. There were hot girls everywhere and if he didn't cease constantly turning his head, he was surely going to end up with a sore neck. Greg lit a cigarette and inhaled deeply, moving out of the way of a group of muscle heads walking by.
His phone rang and he whipped it out of his pocket to answer it.
"Hey Jeff," he said. "Whereabouts are you guys?"
"We're at a bar called The Grapevine," Jeff answered. "Do you know it?"
"Yep. I'll see you in five."
Greg put the phone away and strolled down the street, casually puffing away on his smoke as he walked. Again his head kept turning every time he spotted chicks. There was a veritable feast of them out tonight. A smorgasbord. Things were looking good.
He tossed his cigarette into the gutter and entered The Grapevine to discover the place swarming with the after work crowd. There were countless dudes in suits, and many women dressed in corporate attire. Greg found his friends at the end of the bar drinking a beer each. Jeff was completely bald, preferring the shaved appearance to looking after a head of hair. Leo had dark hair in a military style cut and square face to match. Greg shook hands with his friends and managed to attract the attention of a pretty barmaid. She poured him a bourbon and two beers for the others. Greg waved her away when she went to give him his change, for which he received a very gorgeous smile of appreciation.
"There are babes everywhere tonight," Leo commented with a grin. Greg saw the abject look of hunger in his friend's eyes. Leo looked like a wolf about to launch itself at its prey.
"Don't look too keen, or you'll scare them away," Jeff voiced the thought that was going through Greg's mind.
