EXTRACT FOR It's Just Sex (Darren G. Burton)
Casual Sex
Greg was single and bored. He was single by choice as he didn't want a relationship, but he still desired some female company; especially the sexual kind. He didn't like being bored. It was Friday night and he'd grown a little tired of frequenting the bar and club scene every weekend. There had to be another way of getting laid on a regular basis that didn't involve getting mindlessly drunk.
He was sitting out the back on the patio, a bourbon and Coke beside his laptop on the table. He took a sip and continued to scroll through the results of his Google search.
All the links to websites were basically the same thing. Online dating sites for either relationships or casual liaisons. He'd tried a few of those in the past but without success. He really wasn't at all interested in the relationship sites, and the adult sites seemed to get no response at all when he went to the bother of creating a profile.
No, if it was going to be internet based, it needed to have a different, more genuine and direct approach between the clientele.
He tried a few different searches, varying the keywords several times. It was on the fourth attempt that a link near the top of the search results caught his eye.
The Casual Sex Club.
Greg clicked on the link and drank more bourbon while waiting for the web page to load. When it had he scanned the opening pitch and clicked through some of the subsequent pages.
The site cost more to join than some of the others, but the owners of the site ran a bit of a screening process before passing on possible matches to contact. Greg opened up the sign-up page, shrugged, then commenced entering the required details, which also included what he was looking for in a casual sex partner. When that was done he submitted the information and paid the required fee with his credit card.
An email came through five minutes later confirming his membership. It also stated that he would receive his first list of possible candidates within twenty-four hours.
Guess now all he could do was wait and see what happened.
