Amy straightened her top over her curves, set on finding a decent job for the summer. The spring semester proved to be difficult as she had to let go of her part-time job in order to focus on the studies of becoming a high school English teacher. In her junior year, she took the toughest classes that focused on areas that stretched her intellect. Her blond hair hung straight, brushing her shoulders. She looked presentable as she pounded the streets looking for a summer job to help her have extra funds for the summer.



She'd waited too late to look for a summer job. Many of the obvious places which catered to tourists like the restaurants and gift shops had already hired workers for the summer. At the time, she should have applied for summer work, she had her nose in her books trying to ace her exams thinking surely, she'd find a job once school was out. It was disheartening as she left the tenth establishment for the day with no luck in landing a part-time job. 



Amy moved on to the other places who hired college students throughout the year, places like the grocery stores, department stores, and all the stores at the local mall. Again, she was met with a brick wall, each place stating they weren't hiring right now. A few places kept her application, but told her they probably wouldn't be hiring for a couple of months.



After an exhausting couple of days with unsuccessful job hunting, Amy took a day off to regroup. A friend suggested she try the online help-wanted ads and websites. Her fingers flew across the keyboard on her laptop. She found the typical help-wanted ad sites, with lofty jobs and positions she wasn't quite qualified to fill.  Perhaps she had to set her sights on something different. Why not online jobs? She pursued other possibilities and tried to find positions for online work. She found one for being an editor and smiled. It was something she could do potentially. She applied and the waiting game began.
