should be noted that this is chapter one and that you need to purchase
another chapter or more to finish book 1 out of 5 My love-hate relationship with this author's work has, with this book,
slid solidly into hate. I've read two of her previous books and one
thing hasn't changed with this one: the author has a maddening,
idiosyncratic style of almost mindless repetition that nearly demands
that you skim rather than read. Here's a sample:
"Maggie had never been able to get over the development of Melody. How
she had been more advanced than her years. How she had been much like
herself. How her own breasts had popped when she was just twelve years
old. She would always remember that would Maggie. And how she hadn't
been at all surprised when Melody more or less followed the same
development path. Mature physically and with the mind always playing
catch up."
And it's not like this is a once-in-while for emphasis thing. It's
constant. The reading is a slog from start to finish. You might ask,
knowing this, why read her work?
Her previous books delivered in unique fashion lez-dom sexual control
and graphic torture with a pretty good look into the heads of torturer
and victim. Sadly, this is almost absent from this book. There's a
little teaser at the front and a bit at the end, but the middle is a
mind-numbing, boring yet grim look into someone going to pieces under
pressure. I kept waiting for the good bits that never came. Normally,
at the end of book, I'm sad and want more. At the end of this one, it
was, "Thank heaven, it's over."
The author took a short 70,000 word novel and cut into to novellas so
she can sell it as twice the prices. Maybe, just maybe, all the good
stuff is in Taken II? I want to know if I can permanently put this
author on my never-to-be-read-again list. I'm just not sure it's worth
another $7 to find out. 1 out of 5 (Aalok) Good book. Storyline similiar to some of his other books but if you
liked them you will like this one. 4 out of 5 (SM) Can't recommend this series. There is too much time jumping which
leads to essentially a recap of previous pages. It isn't hard to
follow but terribly annoying. This is just a way to extend a short
story into a 2 book ramble. 1 out of 5 (Stark47 ) | Style: Fem Dom - F/F, Bondage/BDSM Fetishes Published: 11 / 2015 Available Formats to Download: MOBI, EPUB, MS Word, PDF, MS Reader, Text, RTF, HTM Available for members to read online in the Reading Room which is part of the member library

 | STORY DESCRIPTION Maggie is a statuesque redhead, a successful businesswoman and a single mother. She shares the closest of relationships with her teenage daughter Melody that it is possible to share. Pure undiluted mother love. Then out of the blue Melody is snatched ??" taken without consent ??" and Maggie's world falls apart. She assumes very wrongly that there will be a ransom demand. She has more money than she could ever spend and she would gladly pay up if that were the case. Then the little clip videos start to arrive by email, of Melody suffering in a variety of harrowing ways. And the bizarre, fetish tinged instructions that she herself has to carry out to the letter, or witness Melody suffer even deeper torments. Maggie's psychological decimation and Melody's physical and sexual torments are the strings that run through this 2 part story. It becomes clear that Melody isn't the victim, she is simply collateral damage. The objective is to destroy Maggie from within and control her completely.. | Keywords related to this title - click on a keyword to find more, related stories Lesbian Bi BDSM fetish latex leather Submission domination orgasm denial Author information: "DrkFetyshNyghts writes her hard hitting stories almost as crime novels. The BDSM, the Fetish and the Bondage being the crimes along with the impunity with which the perpetrators operate. This, together with an autobiographical feel and forensic attention to detail, adds a distinctly jagged and disturbing edge to the narrative." Reviews should be noted that this is chapter one and that you need to purchase another chapter or more to finish book 1 out of 5 Author reply: Many thanks for your comments. Stories tend to evolve over the writing process. Please note that the majority of my stories over the last 5 years plus, are over 2 parts or more. And I habitually release part 1 first as I finish part 2. If you are concerned about a story, please contact me and I will be pleased to answer any queries - Once again many thanks for taking the time to comment - Stefani Nyghts aka DrkFetyshNyghts My love-hate relationship with this author's work has, with this book, slid solidly into hate. My 'style' although evolving hasn't really changed since the Devastation series, which was my first ever published. And that book or series, prided itself on the immersion made possible via repetition. I think my work is meant to be read, alone, curtains closed, all outside influences eradicated. Yes a hard read if you're not immersed but the rewards come if you immerse without question. On pricing, it is based on word count I think, so, apart from a rudimentary difference by having a story split into 2, it make very little difference to me. I tend to write in 2 parts to give readers a breather, as opposed to it being for financial reasons. Once again many thanks for your comments. Please DO read Part 2 of Taken :) Good book.
