 | STORY DESCRIPTION Alice Borden was becoming a devoted gym member after her ex, Tom, introduced her to it when they were still a couple. Her transformation was incredible and she soon used her new look to her advantage. All was well until Alice suffered a rotator cuff injury during a workout and had to take a hiatus from the gym before returning to rehab her damaged shoulder.
As she was coming out of her rehab and beginning to get back to where she once was, Alice met Cynthia Forde, a recent arrival in town from New Orleans. Cynthia sees Alice as a real inspiration to her goals as she begins her membership but they also interact and cross paths later on that came about by chance and on a day when Alice's head was in the clouds about other things.
| Author information: David grew up all over, being the child of a military family. He has spent time in Germany and Austria, Italy, and Spain as well as the United States. He found a calling for the creative arts early in life, and pursued some initial interests in sculpture and painting before finding his true calling as a writer. David has a definite "adult-theme" in his writing as he branches out in his interests in human relationships and sexuality. He was exposed to a much more open and liberal lifestyle during his early life in Europe and this is reflected in his writing now.
David lives part-time here in the US in Taos, NM, and part-time in Spain with his wife, Francesca, with their 2 cats, Aristotle and Plato, near the Sant SebastiĆ Beach just outside Barcelona. Though not particularly obvious in his writing, David credits his wife and her cats--her "Zen-masters" as she refers to them--as a primary source of his inspiration and creativity. In addition to his creative writing, David still spends time immersed in his initial artistic interests as he anticipates a public showing of some of his sculpture and painting in local galleries in Barcelona and Santa Fe in late 2020.
