STORY DESCRIPTION

Set in the very near future the story follows the fortunes of four women who are facing the harsh reality of living in a strict patriarchal society where men rule as they see fit. Women are second-class citizens and have been stripped of most of the rights they fought for over the preceding years.

Every senior post in all companies, the police and judiciary and all institutions are held by men. Women are still employed in businesses and the private sector but their presence is often decorative rather than productive.

Corporal punishment is a common form of enforcing rules and regulations in both the business and the private world. The last ten years or so has led to dramatic upheavals in society and men very much have the upper hand.

We follow the adventures of one of them, an older gentleman named Arthur Graham who has recently been honoured for his lengthy service to the New Government and see how his new found power extends into the lives of the women who come under his malevolent control.
