STORY DESCRIPTION

It is 1955, and attractive widow Isobel Forbes and her equally attractive 18-year-old progeny Lorna, are on a brief stopover on their ocean cruise in Kabesh, the capital of Barbouria on the North-West coast of Africa. But in attempting to evade the polite but persistent attentions of a local man called Hassan al Rashid, they grossly offend local citizens and their customs, and so are arrested. The pair soon discover how few rights unaccompanied women have in Barbouria. It might not be how such matters would be handled in England, but the law is still the law, and they must obey it.

At the command of Captain Velasquez of the Kabesh police, Isobel and Lorna are stripped naked, collared, cuffed, yoked and intimately used, all perfectly legally, for the pleasure of local men they insulted. But even after appeasing their initial wraith, they still face a court case. In the meantime, they must be kept secure by one means or another. They are given a choice of locations to serve their confinement, but each choice only leads them into further suffering.

First, they are put into a grim prison, where female prisoners are not permitted clothing, they are at the mercy of quirt-carrying guards and a sadistic warden. Next, they join a team of female naked labourers on a public building site where they are chained to wheelbarrows and locked into cruelly teasing chastity belts. They toil under the hot sun while being treated as the playthings of their overseer and other workers.

Finally, the two women are sent to the exclusive Glass Harem far out into the desert. Here they are dominated by black lesbian mistresses, kept in glass cells to please voyeuristic paying guests, and displayed in a huge aquarium tank filled with more "girlfish" like them. From there they are chosen by guests to serve them in the Harem's pleasure rooms and gardens, where they take part in degrading carnal games and ordeals of sexual endurance.

To their further dismay and confusion, Isobel and Lorna begin to respond with growing passion their harsh treatment. Their only chance of escape may lie in total submission to Hassan al Rashid: the very man they were trying to escape when their ordeal began! But perhaps Rashid is not as bad as they first thought. After all, he is cultured and wealthy. Is it possible that in his service, they might even find happiness and contentment in this strange foreign land?
