Good read for those with fantasies about 40-something professional

I really enjoyed the premise and the story. I would have given it a 5
if it had expanded on some of the themes it introduces, like the
character's psychology and the build up to the event itself. For
example, they introduce a Judge, Maximum Mary, (LOVE the name), but
our heroine never appears before him and we never meet him. Expanding
on some of the events leading up to her punishment, like having her
appear in the Judge's courtroom, would have ramped it up for me. That
being said, it was an excellent story by a talented author. I LOVE
undercover stories, and I hope the author does more like these. 4

| | STORY DESCRIPTION Judge Vanessa Porter's state has recently passed a law instituting judicial corporal punishment, but has not yet put in place the centers where it will be carried out. She is curious about the whole procedure and wants to know more about how offenders will feel as they receive their punishment before she actually sentences anyone to receive a judicial caning.
To satisfy her curiosity, Judge Vanessa arranges, through her judicial contacts, to undergo the entire ordeal in a neighboring state that has their system in place already. She will report to a Female Corporal Punishment Center under a false name. There, she will be treated as an ordinary offender. She will be made to strip naked, exposed in front of the guards and fellow inmates whose lives have been much rougher than her own, searched for contraband and, in her turn, she will be strapped to a heavy wooden frame and receive every one of the full-force cane strokes ordered by a judge like any common criminal.
How will Judge Vanessa manage through this ordeal? Will she be able when the time comes to sentence the lawbreakers who appear before her to suffer as she suffered? Read this tale and find out.

There was no courtroom scene because the victim only agreed to suffer the punishment if everything could be kept secret, so that she could go on with career as a judge.
