STORY DESCRIPTION Travel back in time to the Golden Age of Piracy, the years around 1700, when buccaneers of all stripes roamed the high seas, seizing ships and their cargo and holding those on board for ransom. Certainly, most of them were men, but among these brigands were members of the fairer sex, who could fight and plunder as well or better than the men.
This story follows one all-female pirate crew, led by their Captain, the Dark Princess, as they set out from their home port on Ocracoke Island, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, to sail the Atlantic Coast of America in search of fortune.
Aside from the layout of small islands and coves that provided a plethora of hiding places, one thing that made Ocracoke a center of pirate activity was the corrupt governor of the colony, James Darwin, who was happy to allow these brigands to operate from his territory in exchange for a fat cut of the loot. But he was a greedy man, for whom a fair division of spoils was not enough. He established a militia to seize the Dark Princess so that he can compel her, by any means necessary, to divulge the location of her buried treasure.
"Arggh, me mateys!" You dare not miss this rollicking tale of peril and adventure as it winds its way to its shocking conclusion. |
