I am both amoral and immoral. I deal in and train slaves. And I enjoy it immensely. Nothing immoral about that? Not unless one is the scion of an ancient and illustrious noble house...

I am the second son of the nineteenth earl of Marchmain and from an early age ??" following puberty and once I understood such things, wanted nothing more than to acquire and train slaves to be the very best possible and then sell them for great profits.

Of course my family were appalled when I eventually plucked up the courage to inform them what I wanted most from life but when I discussed it with my brother and then my father, he seemed to understand that having an 'insider' to call upon, it could be an advantage and eventually backed my studying physical education rather than the classics at university and so with my lifelong friend, James Barnes, who was the son of our butler, we embarked on the study of physical education in all its permutations, and then used my trust fund and my father's aid to set up the very best slave training school and dealership ever seen in England.

Of course, my older brother John, had studied classics at Oxford but combined that course with business management and did really well at both which would equip him perfectly to inherit the earldom and take over the huge estate attached to it. Apart from James, John had always been my best friend, had supported my weird interest in slaves and slavery and had been instrumental in persuading Dad to eventually accept it as a perfectly legitimate, if not the most usual occupation for the son of a great house.

And so while James and I worked hard at our studies in physical education, which we believed would equip us best to develop the bodies of our slaves, we also enrolled in the allied degree of slave management and so by the time of our graduation when we were both twenty-four years old, we were ready to create and develop the finest slave dealership anywhere in the world.
