About Jed Darke:

Jed Darke's brain stopped processing new information somewhere around the end of 1979, and most of his work is in the style of 1960s and 1970s movies and TV. I sometimes wonder if Sam Tyler was based on him :-) Although one difference between his work and stuff from that era is the sex. There is a hell of a lot of it in his book, there was not so much of it back then (I grew up in that era, and back then "Sex" was the posh way of pronouncing the things the coal was delivered in). However unlike many sex novel writers Jed works as hard on the story as he does on the porn. His books would still be a good read if you took all the sex scenes out of them (they would be a hell of a lot shorter, but a good read), and in fact he does write clean novels under a different name. So if you want to jerk off, then his books are for you, but if you just want a good read, his books are also for you (and if you want both, they you must read them).
